Frequently Asked Questions

Will pressure washing damage my home?

Properly performed pressure washing will not damage your home. If the pressure is set too high, the wrong equipment is used, or the wrong cleaning solutions are used, it is possible to cause damage. This is why it's important to hire a professional pressure washing company that has the proper equipment and training to safely clean your home's exterior.

One method used by Battle Buddy Pressure & Soft Wash that greatly minimizes the risk of damage is the "soft wash method." This technique uses a lower-pressure setting and specialized cleaning solutions to gently remove dirt, grime, and stains from your home's exterior. The cleaning solutions are applied with a low-pressure spray and left to dwell on the surface for a period of time to allow them to effectively break down and remove the dirt and stains. The surface is then rinsed with a low-pressure spray to remove the cleaning solution and any remaining dirt. The soft wash method is particularly effective for cleaning delicate surfaces, like wood or stucco, and can help to preserve the integrity and appearance of your home's exterior.

How Long Does A Pressure Cleaning Job Take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the job! Most houses can be completed within a couple of hours, however, larger jobs may take a full day. A complete makeover of a large property may take even longer. We will always inform you of how long we expect to take before we get started so that you know what to expect.

How often should I have my home pressure washed?

The frequency of pressure washing your home depends on a few factors. Some materials, like vinyl or aluminum siding, can handle more frequent pressure washing than others, like wood or brick. The climate in which you live is also a factor. Homes in humid or coastal areas may need to be pressure washed more often due to the higher levels of moisture and salt in the air. Similarly, if you live in an area with a lot of trees or a developing area, your home may accumulate more dirt and debris than average. As a rule, most experts recommend getting your home pressure washed every one to two years. However, if you live in an area with a harsh climate or your home has particularly dirty or damaged siding, you may need to have it done more often. It's a good idea to have a professional assess the condition of your home and provide a recommendation for how often it should be pressure washed.
